REACH3 is a national, transdisciplinary alliance of academic investigators and community-based organizations. Its members share a long-term commitment to research that improves the health of Canadians experiencing housing vulnerability. Start Date: 2006 End Date: 2011
Homelessness and underhousing are critical health concerns. CRICH studies are drawing connections between homelessness and mortality, as well as health problems like traumatic brain injury and severe mental illness. We also study health care use among homeless people, and how population health interventions can meet their complex needs. The evidence we produce can inform decision-making in a wide range of public domains, including health care, housing, and welfare policy.
